This helmet has very little use in player versus monster however. When socketed with two Ber Runes, this helmet can help a player reach up to 31% damage reduction. When the helmet has two Sockets and other high-rolled modifiers, it can be quite valuable.Ĭrown of Ages is often used by Barbarians, Paladins, and sometimes Assassins in player versus player for its massive damage reduction. This is not a CHASE item.Besides having some of the largest boosts to defensive stats in the game on a single item, Crown of Ages also allows for up to 2 Sockets. Then why even put it in the game? Most of us want to attain all the items eventually and max our toons, if you put in 100’s of hours, why shouldn’t you be rewarded for your time? Blizz does not respect our time. I don’t understand people who say “you don’t need shako to have fun”. 000001% of the player base and the lucky few in the 2 hell tides that the glitch happened. We bought it to eventually max our characters items with perfect rolls, and thats currrently only a reality for. We didn’t buy this game to have worse odds than winning the powerball to get the best items in the game. This current drop rate is completely disrespectful of everyone’s time. Everyone should get a chance to get one if they put in the time.
With more items being released every season, new super uniques, new sets, the drop rate is absurd and I don’t understand anyone defending it. Imagine a super unique drop rate of 1/400 ancestral uniques will be a super unique. You’ll never get to chase that perfect shako.ĭ3 primal rate was great, 1/400 ancients was a primal, it felt rewarding for the time you put in. Imagine only ever getting one shako and it’s got the lowest rolls on every stat. Calling them “chase” items is misleading, you have better odds of being struck by lightning while on a motorcycle hydroplaning across a lake on a Tuesday in June.Ĭhase items are items we can see once or twice a season in hopes of getting the perfect rolls. I think the bigger issue is the awful drop rate with super uniques.
